Dr. Sarah Wallace

Gynecologist (OBGYN)

Dr. Sarah Wallace was born and raised in Sudbury. She graduated summa laude from Princeton University in 2000 with a degree in politics. Her thesis was written on access to women’s healthcare in Canada.  Dr. Wallace attended medical school at the University of Toronto and graduated in 2004. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Toronto in 2009.  Dr. Wallace was happy to return to practice in Sudbury where she is the residency coordinator for women’s health and is currently Chief of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Health Sciences North.  In her spare time, Dr. Wallace enjoys spending time with her young family and exploring the outdoors in beautiful Northern Ontario.

Dr. Roxanna Righi

Gynecologist (OBGYN)

Dr. Righi was born and raised in Sudbury. She achieved her Honors Bachelor of Science in Human Biology at the University of Guelph. She went to medical school at the University of Ottawa and completed a rotating internship at Victoria Hospital in London. She then went on to complete a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology in Vancouver at the University of British Columbia and obtained a Fellowship in the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada. Dr. Righi returned to practice in Sudbury in 1997. She has been Chief of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Sudbury and is currently on active staff at Health Sciences North. Dr. Righi is actively involved in teaching. She is an assistant professor at the Northern Ontario School of Medicine. She is also the Clerkship Lead and the Academic Lead for Women’s Health at the Medical School. She is the Academic Administrator for the Health Sciences North Obstetrics and Gynecology Local Education Group and is NOSM’s representative on the Association of Academic Professionals in Obstetrics and Gynecology of Canada.
